Level file window
New Level
Creates a new level and opens the level editor for the new level.
Edit Level
Open the edit level window where you can select a level to edit, reorder levels and remove levels.
New SQ Object
Creates a new SQ object and opens the object editor for the new object.
Edit SQ Object
Opens a window which lists all of the objects in the current level file. (the next release of SQ will contain this feature.)
Save Level File
Saves the level file.

Level editor window
In this window you can edit the level. When you move the mouse over a square which contains an object the object name and coordinates is shown.
Arrow Tool
Using this tool you can double click on a square to open the object editor for that square type.
Selection Tool
Using this tool you can select an area in the level. By clicking and dragging inside of your selection area you can move all of the objects within the selection. You can also copy the selection using the edit menu and then paste a copy of your selection in another level in this level file or in another position in this level. To remove all objects inside the selection, press the delete key.
Pencil Tool
This tool allows you to place the currently selected object onto the level.
Line Tool
This tool is currently not implemented. You can make a straight line using the box tool
Box Tool
Using this tool you can make a box, horizontal line or vertical line onto the level.
Eye Dropper Tool
Using this tool you can change the currently selected object to an object type in the level by clicking on a square.
Fill Tool
Using this tool you can fill in an area with the currently selected object type. To fill through diagonals hold down the option key when you click the mouse.

Level settings window
Level Name
Enter a level name that will be used for this level.
Goodie Frequency
Each time one unit of time passes a random number is generated between 1 and the number you type into this field, if the random number generated is half of the number of this field (rounded down) a random appearing graphic (RAG aka random appearing goodie) is created in the level. Increasing the number in this field will decrease the chances of a RAG appearing. Decreasing the number in this field will increase the chances of a RAG appearing.
Bonus
Each time a level starts the bonus counter starts at this number. Every time one unit of time passes the current level bonus is decremented by one. At the end of the level if a win is generated then each living player recieves an equal part of the bonus.
Max Snake Length Start
Defines the maximum snake length that a snake can be at the beginning of the level. Set to zero to allow any snake length at the beginning of the level.
Max Snake Length In Level
Defines the maximum snake length that a snake can be during the level.
Snake Length Additions
Time till remove remove a square of snake length
Jewels to Get
How many jewels one must capture to beat the level.
Custom Jewel
Enables the user to pick which custom jewel will be picked for that level.
Level Specific Wrap Around
Using these check boxes your level can override the game prefrences. With wrap around enabled the snake wraps around to the other side of the arena. (see Level 2 of "Single Player Levels"). When wrap around is not enabled the snake dies if it hits the edge of the arena.
Timer (squares moved)
Collect the check box to enable the timer for this level. The timer starts at the beginning of the level and counts down one for each square that the snake moves.
When timer is up
When the timer reaches zero the level ends according to what the pop up menu is set to.
End Level When
This pop up menu defines what conditions are needed to end the level.
Always Pass this Level
No matter what, the player is guaranteed to pass this specific level if selected.
What to do when level is passed
The options contained in this box are executed when the level is passed.
Execute action list
Check this check box to execute an action list at the end of the level. Click the "Edit Action List to Execute" button to open the action list editor for the action list.
Snake length reset
This is a pop up menu. The item "user selected" uses the preferences that the user selects regarding reseting snake length. If "Reset Snake Length" is selected then every snake's length will get reset to the minimum snake length after the level is over no matter what preference is set in the game options. If "Keep Snake Length" is selected then every snake's length will stay the same no matter what preference is set in the game options.

Using this pop up menu you can select which level the player goes to after passing this level.
Object pallette window
In this window the objects are shown. Using this window you can select the object type to use in the level editor. The object selected in this window becomes what is called in this documentation the "currently selected object type". Double click an object in this window to open the object editor for th eobject that you double clicked on. When the level editor is the front most window this window stays inactive when you click in its content area so that the level editor window doesn't become inactive when selecting an object type. To bring the object pallette window to the front when you want to copy and paste an object, click in its title bar.
